5 Stars The Best All Stainless Steel Screwback G-Shock. Casio Brought back the Original DW5000 again!
First of all, I want to say that I used to own the original DW5000 G-Shock back in 1983 and that my 1st watch was destroyed when I attempted to open it up after having a jeweler change the battery in it when he caused the lcd display to become crooked when he put the bezel back on the watch after he changed the battery. A little while later, I ended up buying a 2nd DW5000 and I gave that watch away to a family member after wearing it for a few years. That family member still owns and wears this watch. The resin case and resin band on this watch are no longer on the watch and are long gone and deteriorated, but he still wears this watch 24/7 on a metal watchband. It’s been put thru a lot of torture thruout the last 20+ years and it still works just like it did when it was brand new. I regret giving my DW5000 away.
I was so glad when Casio re-issued the DW5000 again with an all stainless steel case with the screwback bezel. I had to own one again. I purchased mine directly from Amazon. So far, I’ve owned the watch for over 1 week and I love it. It’s water resistant and I’ve already showered with it a few times already. I also use it to time my workout at the gym. It’s very comfortable and it feels very durable. This time around I do not want to give up this watch. It’s a keeper.
