User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Nice Mid-Level Watch
Pros:

I don’t think you will find another watch with these features anywhere near this price.

The Sensors seem to be fairly accurate and it’s no where near as big on your wrist as you think it’ll be.

Cons:

The Light - Great looking at night but doesn’t stay on long enough. It would have been extremely easy to make it where you can hold down the button to keep the light on. The way it is you have to either read super fast or turn it on a second time if you miss something.

The Barometer: It seems to be very accurate. However it does not make predictions like most entry level Digital Barometers. I’m sure everyone who already understands what ‘Rising - 971 hPa[mb]‘ means will understand it just fine. For the rest of us a ‘Rain Cloud Icon’ goes a long way.

Conclusion:

Not a con but the Thermometer does suffer from heat transfer. Your body heat will cause false readings and you have to take it off to get a clear ambient reading. This is well documented in the manual. However, I can possibly see someone adjusting for this by calibrating it to their body temperature.

There are some instructional graphs on the net that you can use to learn and possibly understand the Barometer readings and once you get used to reading the watch the two second light is only a minor problem. All in all it’s a great watch for the money!

4 Stars Awesome watch
This watch is really cool! Just like everybody else has written though, it is pretty big, much larger than the average watch. So, not necessarily the casual wear or everyday type of usage, but of course perfect for its purpose which is outdoor trail/hiking. People who complain about the thermometer, just deal with it… your body temp will in fact affect the reading by +5/8 degrees or so, oh well, that’s life, learn how to compensate for that if you are wearing it and want the temperature. The directions for reading the altimeter are not as detailed as I would like them to be but at the same time I really did not get it for that function anyway. There are other casio watches with the same features but just have different bands or colors and cost much more, don’t waste your money. This one is perfect. I Have never had an issue with anything I’ve ordered from amazon, always gets there in the time specified.

5 Stars Great Watch
This watch was a Christmas present for my husband. He loves the watch. It has so may great features for him since he never takes his watch off, even showers with it on at times. He is a hunter and loves the compass, thermomter and barometer for when he is in the woods and being a big weather buff makes it even better. It is a nice looking watch also. The only con, as some have said, which I read in the reviews but did not stop me from ordering it for him,the thermomter is not the most accurate, you do have to take the watch off to get a good reading but he is ok with that. I am very happy with the watch and so is my husband.

5 Stars The only watch I wear.
I’ve had this particular watch for a while and I wish I had bought it sooner. For the features it offers, it is an absolute steal. I’ve read all the reviews and I feel that a lot of the criticisms are unfounded. Take the temperature readout for example. Everybody complains that it isn’t accurate when worn on the wrist. This feature is fully adjustable. Simply calibrate it to read the right temperature while it’s on your wrist and it will be very accurate. Of course, if you do this, it will only be accurate when you’re wearing it. You can’t have it both ways so take your pick. Another area of complaint is the altimeter. When you are moving from one place to another, the barometric pressure changes, just ask any pilot. That’s why they calibrate their altimeters before every takeoff to insure accuracy. This watch is no different, it must be correctly calibrated in order for it to be reasonably accurate. Yes, there will be some variance but this is normal. The compass, when properly calibrated, will provide very acceptable accuracy and is a useful feature as well. I also saw a complaint about changing the batteries. Some people do not feel comfortable doing this themselves but it’s not really that hard to do. Give me 4 (four) SR927W (399) batteries and a small set of screwdrivers from Radio Shack and I’m done in 20 minutes.

Overall, I’ve been extremely happy with this watch and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Used correctly, it is hard to beat for the price.

4 Stars good watch, mostly
It’s big, but jazzy. All the functions work great, except for the altimeter which is vastly unreliable. Would have liked it more if it had a countdown timer.
