Timex Men’s Ironman Solar Power SHOCK Resin Strap Watch #T5J631

The tough Timex Men’s Ironman Solar Power SHOCK Watch was designed to keep up with serious athletes as they run, bike, and swim their way to success. Constructed with a lightweight resin case, this solar-powered watch includes a stationary metal bezel and a durable black resin wristband secured with an adjustable buckle clasp. A strong mineral crystal protects the digital-gray dial, which displays time as well as day, date, and month. Four function buttons framing the dial control the countdown timer, Indiglo nightlight, and night mode features, allowing you to customize your workouts. The solar-powered watch also includes a Start-Split button below the dial and a sleep mode for maximum efficiency and eco-friendliness. Powered by digital-quartz movement, the timepiece is water resistant to 660 feet (220M).

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars No real problems yet
I said no “real” problems because I do have one issue: when I’m trying to time my weight training exercises, the edge of my glove pushes the STOP button for the chronometer. Other than that, I’ve been very pleased so far.

1 Stars Lacks Quality
I bought this watch in September and by November there was moisture under the bezel. It advertises that it is waterproof to 300m. You could not see the face of the watch due to the ‘fog’. I sent it back for repair, but I was very disappointed that this happened after two months.

4 Stars Nice watch!
The bezel is shinier than I thought, but that’s about the only negative. It’s comfortable, easy to use and overall a great watch!

4 Stars Great Sports Watch but non-replaceable strap
I received this watch as a gift. It works as advertised. There is an annoying one second delay between switching modes before the mode becomes active.

The watch supports 3 time zones that can be individually set.

The resin strap is not user-replaceable as it is integrated into the case. It has to be sent to Timex for replacement.

4 Stars A fine solar timepiece from Timex
I spent quite a bit of time researching solar powered full featured watches before settling on this one. The only one I found that I liked better had a salmon colored button on it that I found unattractive. I’ve work this watch now for a few weeks, and it keeps excellent time, is substantial on my wrist so I’m not likely to take it off and leave it somewhere. It has no trouble with weather and changing conditions…does just fine in the water! As a speaker, I’ve travelled through several time zones with this watch, and found the 3 zone feature to very valuable. I set the zones ahead of time and don’t have much to do when I arrive jet lagged at my final destination. It’s never shown less than a full charge on the battery, so it apparently picks up light and turns it into energy quite easily. The only thing I’d like better on this watch is better contrast between the numbers and the background when the indiglo light isn’t on. The background is kind of dark and in certain conditions makes the watch a little hard to read. But all in all, I think it’s terrific.
